dbt skills training​​​​​​/stress management

Stress Management is a modified DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) program and includes four separate modules (outlined below).  New groups begin approximately every 8-10 weeks. You may attend one or all of the modules listed below.

Mindfulness
Distress Tolerance
Emotion Regulation
Interpersonal Effectiveness
SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of an experienced DBT therapist, you will be introduced to strategies that can help reduce emotional reactions to situational stressors, improve interpersonal relationship skills, increase your ability to tolerate distress, develop and/or stabilize your self-image and expand your awareness of the thoughts and emotions that are interfering with your wellbeing.

DBT/Stress Management has 4 separate modules outlined below:


 


FEES:
$75 per session or
$150 pay in advance discount for each module ($18.75-$25 per session)

INSURANCE:
  • If you are planning to use insurance to cover the cost of your group sessions it is recommended that you call the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm your coverage and co-pay (if applicable).
  • In order to be covered by medical insurance, your therapist is required to provide a DSM-5 diagnosis of the symptoms that are the focus of treatment. This diagnosis could remain a part of your permanent medical record.
  • In order to provide a diagnosis, you will be required to complete a diagnostic assessment (60 minute session) prior to beginning group.

OUT OF POCKET:
  • Current fees: $150 pay in advance discount for each 6-8 session module ($18.75-$25 per group)​ or $75 per session
  • If you are unable to attend a group session for any reason, you will be given an opportunity to make up that session in one of the following ways (dependent on therapist availability): individually, via e-therapy or you may attend the group you missed the next time the group is offered.
